Hello there

I don't think there's any part of writing that I love more than creating characters. And it's been far too long since I've drawn anything Redwall. So here, have a few OCs. It's for a... uh... thingy I'm doing.

I'll just run through them for you. On the left we have Lisana, the heroine of her story, a young mousemaid of Redwall. She's not like most Redwall heroine characters I come up with in that she isn't anywhere close to being a warrior, nor will she ever be. She's a bit like Sister Armel or Tansy that way. Nevertheless, she's quite the spirited young lady, determined, not easily swayed or intimidated, and rarely unprepared to speak her mind. She's also a bit of a romantic at heart.

Next to her is Mirajane, Lisana's best friend, and practically an older sister to her. She's very sweet and kindhearted, always eager to see the best in other creatures, even if they may not deserve it. She's somewhat renowned in Redwall for being a beauty, and is a very patient soul. She has to be; her mother's a bit pushy about getting her married, and her younger sister is a rambunctious, imprudent young maid. Whenever Lisana needs advice or comfort, she's there.

Next is Carolus Birchtail, known as Rol to his friends. He hails from the pine groves near Salamandastron and holds authority over the residents of part of it, a bit like a mayor. He's known for his extremely amiable disposition and nigh-constant cheery attitude. He is polite, eager to please, and an all-around nice guy, so he generally makes friends without much effort. In fact, a testament to his ability to befriend pretty much anybeast is standing right next to him.

Lastly we have Frowny T. Sourface from Grumptown, Pississippi. Just kidding, his name's Liam Darkwood. He also lives in the pine groves, having been adopted as a child by a previous squirrel leader. Since his foster father's death he's taken over the role, and holds authority over more of the forest than Rol does. As you could probably infer, he's a bit of a grump (read: huge grump), is about as sociable as an agoraphobic lobster, and has a fair share of insufferable pride. Rol, why are you friends with this guy?

Eeeeeyup. That's these guys. Might draw a few more of the characters from their story later. Of course, I may or may not do this story at all, it's just that the idea's been niggling at me for a bit and if I don't get something out, bad things will happen.

(And yes I totes got Lisana and Mirajane's names from Fairy Tail.)
